Thanks to The Adventure Park at Storrs‘ “Hot August Date Nights” special, not only did we climb the trees with an excellent two-for-one deal, we also had our early dinner at Willington Pizza House in Willington, CT tonight with 20% off our meal for two!
Mind you, this wasn’t our first time to eat there. It’s actually our second time; the first was back in June during our first adventure at the Park. Today, however, I brought my little camera so I can share the food in this blog.
Seriously, we were more exhausted than hungry. We just wanted to eat before embarking on the two-hour drive back to Danbury. We ordered two items only – Cranberry Walnut Salad and a small Red Potato Pizza. We ordered the same stuff during our first visit because we loved it then. Ordering it again today was a no-brainer.
According to their menu, the Red Potato Pizza is “National award-winning pizza, first place for the most exotic pizza of the year. A plain crust with sour cream, sliced red potatoes, sharp cheddar cheese, chives and your choice of bacon, broccoli or both.” Of course we chose both bacon and broccoli.
All I can say is “yum!” I guess we were hungrier than we originally thought because we finished both the salad and pizza like we were members of the Clean Plate Club. We’re definitely happy but tired campers tonight.
