I’ve been blogging here for quite sometime now. Last night though, it struck me that I’ve never quite explained how things are set up here for you, my dear readers so here goes…
You might notice that some posts in this blog are either “Book Finds”, “Eating Out” or “Yummy Experiment”.
Book Finds – I love to read, especially books about food. Any books I’ve blogged so far, I bought on my own and I did not receive it for free. Most of the time, I borrow the books from the library before buying them, so I’m sure that it’s worth my money. It’s how I try to be an informed consumer.
Eating Out – My husband and I love to eat out. We’ve got our favorite places to go, but we’re always ready and willing to try new eating places. As I said in the ABOUT page, we travel far and wide for good food. It doesn’t matter if the price range is $ to $$$$$, if we hear the food’s good, we’ll try it out. We do not receive compensation for blogging about the different restaurants nor did we eat for free.
Yummy Experiment – I love being in the kitchen. I’ve always enjoyed cooking and inventing new things, but now that I have this blog, I have a place to share my adventures and misadventures in cooking, whether I’m baking, roasting, frying, barbecuing, braising, poaching, stewing, deep frying, sauteing, stir frying, etc.
Last night, I thought of adding two new blog post types here.
Food Flashback – Similar to Throwback Thursdays, Food Flashback will feature the places where I’ve eaten and old pictures of food that I didn’t get to blog about before. For example, during my visit to the Philippines last year, I went to many different restaurants that definitely deserve to be here.
Tools of the Trade – Being new to baking and buying practically most the items needed for baking, it’s only fair that I share with you what items I use and include a link to show how much the items cost. That way, if you’re interested in getting started, you’d have an idea how much baking as a hobby ends up costing. Now, if you’re already baking, you know what I mean. Like the books, I bought my tools on my own and I did not receive them for free.
It’s a pretty straightforward way of categorizing my posts, so I hope you’ll keep coming back here. Thanks for visiting!
