Comedor by Miguel & Maria in Marikina City popped up on my Instagram feed earlier. I took it as a sign that it was a good time to check it out and have a mother/daughter lunch today!
My mom and I shared some good Filipino food like:
* Halaan sa Luya
* Pakbet con Hipon
* Binukadkad na Tilapia
I also ordered their refreshing Buko Shake.
For dessert, I got their Saba con Yelo.
Verdict:
As of this writing, Comedor by Miguel & Maria’s social media handler Izza gets plenty of brownie points from me. I messaged her on Instagram and she sent me the menus for the sister restaurants Comedor and Miguel & Maria’s quickly. I inquired about the restaurants’ parking and accessibility, and she informed me that parking wasn’t an issue at the Gil Fernando branch. When I asked which restaurant my senior citizen mom would enjoy more, she recommended Comedor while informing me that it was possible to order from Miguel & Maria anyway.
Thankfully, we found a parking slot easily when we arrived and got seated quickly. The restaurant was a bit crowded during our visit, but the service was still pretty good. Next time, we’ll visit their sister restaurant, Miguel & Maria, across the street.
